Comprehensive Career Entry Preparation
Maryland Career Entry Preparation Program
Today
more than ever, those entering the workforce need to be prepared in order to secure
a job. The Comprehensive Career Entry Preparation Program provides participants
in Maryland with a step by step process for determining and pursuing a career
pathway. This research-based course assists each participant in developing an
Individual Career Plan based on personal interests, aptitudes and abilities that
will lead to success. Participants are provided with the knowledge and skills
they need to decide on the best career path for their future, conduct a job search
and pursue a job position in their preferred field.
The course takes participants through career tests and assessments and helps them to develop a career plan to enter into their chosen career. Participants are provided with the Readiness Tools necessary for success in the transition to the workplace and independence. They learn how to prepare for and conduct a successful job search including each STEP from resumes to interviews.

Maryland Internship & Job Placement Assistance
Along with the Career Entry Preparation course, ACE offers a Maryland Internship Assistance and Job Placement Program. Assistance is provided to locate an internship in a work setting relevant to each participant’s career interest in order to provide a workplace mentoring experience. Participants gain a clearer understanding of future career possibilities and how their educational plans can expand or limit their options. On-going internship evaluation and supportive job success coaching are provided throughout this program.
